SK Global Scholarship Announcement


The SK Global Scholarship Program offers Eastern European students the opportunity to learn cutting-edge advancements in technology and pursue a higher degree in Korea. This scholarship is designed for students who wish to obtain a master’s degree in the fields of Electrical and Computer Engineering (Semiconductor/Physics) or Information Technology/Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Eligible students are invited to apply and take advantage of this exceptional opportunity.


1. Program Overview


  • 1.Eligibility

  • Applicants must hold citizenship from one of the following Eastern European countries:
    Austria, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Georgia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine.

  • Both parents of the applicant must also hold non-Korean citizenship.

  • Applicants whose citizenship changes to a non-European country during the selection process will be excluded from evaluation.

  • 2.Scholarship Benefits

  • Round-trip Airfare: Up to 3,000,000 KRW (1.5M max. upon entry, 1.5M max. upon departure, with receipts)

  • Entrance Fee: 1,142,000 KRW (at the beginning of the 1st semester)

  • Tuition Fee: 7,392,000 KRW per semester (up to 4 semesters)

  • Living Expenses: 1,500,000 KRW per month (for 2 years)

  • Medical Insurance: Standard amount set by the institution (provided monthly for 2 years)

  • Korean Language Training (Optional): Amount exceeding 1 million KRW (set by the institution)

  • 3.Academic Requirements

  • Applicants must hold or be expected to graduate with a bachelor’s degree.

  • 4.Language Proficiency

  • Applicants must submit one or more of the following documents:

  • TOEFL iBT: 71 or higher (Home Edition acceptable)

  • Academic IELTS: 5.5 or higher (IELTS Home Test not accepted)

  • CEFR Level B2 or higher

  • New TEPS: 326 or higher

  • TOPIK: Level 3 or higher

  • Applicants who completed their undergraduate program in English are exempt from submitting proof of language proficiency.

3. Application and Selection Process


  • 1.Admission Process

  • Submit an online application along with required documents. (No application fee)

  • 2.Application Review

  • Applications will be evaluated by the department’s review committee.

  • No exams or interviews required.

  • Interviews may be conducted if requested by the department.

  • 3.Final Result Release

  • Announcement of selected SK scholars will be made after the evaluation process.
